Write Up On ''God Blessing''!

‘’God blessing is greater than any harm we can have from others or we can make to others’’

What made me to write the above sentence is from my everyday reflection. The way the Lord has worked in my life by removing all the unwanted elements, desires, thoughts at the right time. We never realise at times on why some things happen and especially when it gives us pain. Our wisdom is so limited to understand God’s plan for us. The Lord fills our life with more than we thought could be possible, it is well written in the first letter of Paul to the Church in Thessalonika ‘’In all circumstance’s give thanks for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus’’ (1 The 5:17).Whenever I spend time in prayer, I ask the Lord again and again in all circumstances to allow myself to freely let the Lord’s will to work in my life; that I may always have the trust, faith and courage in my Lord.

Life is filled with colour as we live up each moment in joy, happiness, love, care, gifts, blessings, family, smile, affection, thoughts, ideas, hope, financial freedom, charity, relatives, friends, wishes, success, and good education. There are wounds caused by dejection, grief, anxiety, worry, inferiority complex, hatred, contempt, pride, angry, jealousy, lust, greed, weakness, financial problems, difficulties in career and anxieties of the future, to name a few.

All these colours of life have very limited meaning in God’s plan, just as if each night is overcome by a day. Our Lord’s grace has mighty power to overcome any harm we have made or others have made in our lives.

In the prayer of our Lord’s agony, he consents totally to this will: ‘’Not my will, but yours be done’’ For this reason Lord Jesus gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and father (CCC 2824).

Looking forward, what is more meaningful and pleasing to our Lord, which is mention in 2 Peter 3:13-15 ‘’what we are waiting for is what he promised: the new heavens and new earth, the place where Righteousness will be at home. So then, my friends, while you are waiting, do your best to live lives without spot or stain so that he will find you at peace. Think of our Lords patience as your opportunity to be saved’’

Special Thanks: For each and every one for their contribution.

God Bless!

Simple Understanding of CCC – 'Catechism of Catholic Church'.

‘’I shall not blot their names out of the book of life, but acknowledge their names in the presence of my father and his angels’’ (Revelation 3:5).

When children are around, they are the centre of the family. The thing I find common in children is their desire to know everything. I have very often come across such situations where children start asking many questions; even simple questions which I had never thought of and sometimes which I find difficult to answer, and taking into consideration on how to deliver the answer appropriately to their understanding - the way they want it….!

Spending time with children has helped me to think "out-of-the-box" and is a complete new way to solve problems, I have tried this in my real time profession and it works! To cut the story short, I am sure as parents and adults we can all learn a lot from children if we keep a good learning attitude with open minds and open hearts.

Here’s one good example, I'd like to share is a simple question; what other names can a Christian be identified as? I had started looking for it, by reading the Holy Bible, spending more time on the subject, discussing and digging the history of the Church. Let’s put the question the other way round to make life easier. Before we were called Christians, how did people identify us? What was our identity? What were we called?

- Believer of Christ.
- People trusting in Christ.
- Messenger of Hope.
- Followers of Lord Jesus Christ.
- Messenger of Peace.
- Disciples of Lord Jesus Christ.
- Preacher.

Children have a simple and direct answer, for my belief system these answers have touched my heart and for a whole day they opened up many new chapters of our Church history.

From the time of Christ till us, it was not at all an easy journey to receive Christian faith, it was always considered next to the impossible, but our forefathers have gifted us with the greatest gift; our Christian faith.

‘’Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God still, and trust in me.
There are many rooms in my father’s house,
and I am going to prepare a place for you.
I would not tell you this if it were not so’’
(John 14: 1-2)

All answers put together make a true Christian. Our forefathers kept it safe and gifted it to us in the form of Tradition and our Church has been protecting the faith and interpreting it faithfully for every new generation. ‘’But hold firmly on to what you already have until I come’’ (Rev 2:25).

What has been entrusted to the Church is God’s revelation of himself in Jesus Christ and it is this which must be carefully guarded. The Church has a duty not to alter this, must not add to it, nor take from it. (Ref: Adult studies in the catholic Catechism, Day 1). I have come to the conclusion, that’s what CCC – 'Catechism of Catholic Church' is all about, in my life I will practice what our church tradition is and my greatest achievement will be to gift this deposit of faith to the next generation. I am thankful to all the children, who helped me to understand the CCC in a better way.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gift of this Catechism to your Church. May the light of the true faith, which is presented in its pages, deliver all men from the ignorance and slavery of sin and lead them into the only liberty worthy of that name: that of life in Jesus Christ. (Ref: Prayer taken from FIDEI DEPOSITUM by Pope John Paul II).

Special Thanks: Fr. Sebastian Arikat and Fr Soji for giving me the opportunity to spend time with children, Freju Sebastian chettan for encouraging to share my writing with everyone, Dorin Symon and Perdita Pearson for their contribution.

God Bless!

A meaningful invitation in love!

Many thoughts come together and through time we gather these thoughts. I took this opportunity to put down everything into notes, my heart and mind was pondering about an invitation. It is an invitation that we receive every day, some days without any preparation, and other days with a lot of preparation; some days am just eagerly waiting for the next day so we can accept the invitation again.

It is so compelling that my mind, heart, body, soul and inner voice cannot say ‘NO’ to this invitation. One of the important lessons in life that I have learnt, one that i had learnt in a hard way which I can never forget, is when to say ‘NO’. However, all these lessons fail when I receive this invitation. No matter how important, urgent and fast life can be, without a second thought I say ‘YES’ to the invitation & celebration.

So finally I came to the conclusion, that for me it’s the most meaningful invitation I can ever receive on any given day. It is an invitation in love. When I take part in this celebration, I am accepted the way I am an honest sinner, who commits sins everyday – at least in thoughts and imagination. That’s why for this celebration the title that best fits is – "A meaningful invitation in Love".

Some may have already come to the realisation of what this special invitation is – it is of course, the Eucharistic Celebration (Holy Mass).

We have passed the mid of the year where we look back on what we have done for 6 months, what can be improved, and applying the plan of action to improve the forthcoming 6 months. Surely the year 2010 has so far been a blessing. Taking part daily in the Eucharistic celebration makes me a new person every day, gives me every inspiration and strength to lead the day in a completely new way. All my failures are taken and converted to success, all my imperfection is taken and converted to perfection, and from the daily Eucharistic celebration I receive the talents to perform impossible tasks every day. In each Eucharistic celebration I have the opportunity to pray for others and receive prayers from others too. The last six months has been a story of endless miracles in all areas of my life – spiritual, personal, professional, social, and educational. Every blessing I daily receive is all from the Holy mass. “But God’s mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great” Ephesians 1:5.

The fight we battle between good and bad, even, our lack of understanding on what is best for us, can always be a challenge. Any confusion I have in my life, I offer it unto Lord in the Holy Mass. Immediately, the doors of realisation are open on what has to be done, all my questions are answered on any subject and any situation. Moreover, many times even without my knowledge it’s already done. “For the father himself loves you, he loves you because you love me and have believed that I came from God” John 16:27.

Now my ardent desire is to deepen my understanding of this meaningful invitation in love. There is no better source than the Holy Bible to gain insight more profoundly.

“This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love in to our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit who is Gods gift to us” Romans 5:5.

Special Thanks: For each and every one for their contribution.

Dear friends!

Our journey within our self, is what we rediscover everyday in our day to day life. Many times we miss the opportunity to realize the importance of what’s happing in our life, rather then what we are going to do for the next moment. To put it simple our past, present, future are all an unsaid story...which is unique in its own way. And only you can write it in the wisdom of our lord. Take a pause, look back and realize how the lord has worked in our life...the meaning of our journey becomes an experience for self, to learn, unlearn, relearn, unlearn and learn...

Today we together with our church celebrate: Corpus Christi (Body and Blood of Jesus Christ).

When Jesus explained to his disciples that he would give them his body to eat and his blood to drink many found this too difficult to accept and gave up following him. Turning to the twelve he asked if they also were going to leave him. Peter replied ‘To whom shall we go, you have the words of eternal life.’ We who live after the event know that it was at last supper that Jesus gave his body and blood in the form of bread and wine. This treasure we have with us always. Jesus is present in the Eucharist. We can receive when we come to mass. We also pray before the Blessed Sacrament. We need to be close to Jesus but also give the respect which is due. Like Peter we can say with faith, ‘to whom shall we go?’ Jesus fulfils all our spiritual needs. His words bring us eternal life. (Ref: Bible & Fr Andrew notes).

Do write and share your life experience, your own faith story, surely by sharing we are helping others to grow in the love of Our Lord!

Am happy to inform that ‘’Prayer Request’’ our family has grown up to 229 members, am thankful for all the support and prayers. Continue to pray for each other.

God Bless!
Thanks and Regards,

Dear Friends!

It was one month before on the same day I wrote mail to everyone. Over the month Lord has been coming again and again in our life to tell one thing – ‘’Lord has come to restore our life...’’ I am sure the factor CHANGE has been key word for all of us in some or other way. The Change of weather was the first ray of hope by nature....which continued in our personal, spiritual, social, professional, educational life...

When I look back to learn out of my own life...my common understanding is CHANGE some time...in fact many times is the most difficult things to go along with life. To keep the story short...changes with our own efforts...ends up with lot of struggle and failure. Utter failure.

In recent years with the help of our helper Holy Spirit changes were like a smooth breeze which comes and brings complete freshness in life, life takes a swing with all new things...as lord wishes to make me new every day. Lord wishes to make complete new person every day. Ones we give our control to our lord...we start experience life at its best.

Friendsat this time I invite everyone to call upon your patron saint, the saint whom church has given to us, the patron saint is always praying for us to the lord, know more about your patron saint. Take the patron saint help to grow in life, to realize the changes what lord is willing in our life. The power of patron saint is a gift which we Christian have. Recall our patron saints everyday in prayers. Each saint has brought our Lord’s kingdom on earth, in simple words it’s their effort we can live and practice our faith.

Am happy to inform that we have crossed a family of 200+ on ‘’Prayer Request’’, am glad to be part of you all...who has a deep desire to be with our Lord. Let us all able to bring more happiness and joy to everyone in our families.

Month of May, Month of Mother Mary! Please have your family prayer every day, make time... come together and have your personal and family prayer. If you are away from the family, then you must do your personal prayer. That’s how Mother Mary grace and protection will flow in your life every moment.

Now onwards at very regular interval I will be sharing on prayer request.

Continue to keep everyone in prayers!

God Bless!

Reunion of Our families with Our Lord.

The season of lent gives me a pause to everything I do with all the gifts given by Lord, made my heart and mind to move on and reflect on three traditional Pillars of Lent – Prayers, Fasting and Almsgiving. How can we renew our self and our world around us with these three pillars? Question which came in my heart? As I continue to ponder upon it, leads to a simple answer our world is beautiful with the eyes of hope and love. The hope and love is better taught inside family first then from the outside world. Again it turns up to Family and its significant role to play to renew our self and our world. We are looking forward deep in today’s families, one major event we need the most is “Reunion of families and Values”.

“Scripture and the Fathers insist above all on three forms, fasting, prayer, and almsgiving, which express conversion in relation to oneself, to God, and to others. Alongside the radical purification brought about by Baptism or martyrdom they cite as means of obtaining forgiveness of sins: effort at reconciliation with one's neighbor, tears of repentance, concern for the salvation of one's neighbor, the intercession of the saints, and the practice of charity "which covers a multitude of sins.” (Ref: CCC 1434).

Further while reading about St.Therese. A short life span of 24 years St. Therese got all the learning’s from parents to grow up in faith. Holy father Pope Benedict XVI on the Beatification of Louis and Marie Zelie Guerin Martin, parents of St. Therese; said to pray for the family “Which (family) has a fundamental role in educating children in a universal spirit, open and responsible towards the world and its problems, and in the formation of vocations to the missionary life.” (Ref: www.catholicculture.org).

Let us take time to draw a complete family tree of our families (Relatives) at least for five generations or more, reach out to them through all means of communication any were in the world, plan a week or at least a day to come together Only for one event “Reunion of families and Values”. Before we do reconciliation with neighbors lets do reconciliation with our own family and relatives.

Example: when we started working on our family tree, both side of branch were the biggest dad and mom side, family members spread all over different part of India and around world. It has its own difficulty to bring everyone together, still am hoping for at least 25 family members from each side of my parents. Around 50 close family members are expected to travel for the first “Reunion of families and Values” focus will be purely building stronger relationship between families. If it’s a marriage get together we have more then 400+ relatives, am sure with prayers for reunion also we will have such numbers. We are planning to conduct under the guidance of Divine Retreat Center, Kerala, India and in their campus. Every alternate year we are going to host this event. Am sure each time more family member will be able to make it.

So dear friends in Christ, let the three traditional pillars for this lent enlighten our Reunion of families and values according to the will of our lord:

Prayers: Let’s pray every day to bring all our families together, take away all the differences and barriers. Some part of the world practicing our faith is difficult let families grow stronger in faith. In prayers remember all our family members who left us with the hope of rising again (Rest in Peace). Pray for the youth of our families and young ones let they make this world a better place to live. Pray for all the elders in our families let they lead with examples of lord teachings.

Fasting: Let our fasting for a greater cause, for bringing the families together. For healing of all the broken families, broken relationships, misunderstanding, anger, hatred, jealous, abortion in families, mismatch in expectation. Let our lord show mercy on each family and unit us.

Alms giving: “So if you are about to offer your gifts to God at the alter and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the alter, go at once and make peace with your brother, and then come back and offer your gift to God” Matthew 5:23-24. “Reunion of family and Values” is the Opportunity to tie our relationship stronger with all or families.

"For if we continue to love one another and to join in praising the Most Holy Trinity - all of us who are sons of God and form one family in Christ - we will be faithful to the deepest vocation of the Church." (Ref: CCC 959).

God Bless.
